Stop Listening to the Negative Voices

This is a quick and unedited post. So, please forgive any typos or rambling.

But, something that has been on my mind a lot lately is how to deal with the negative voices that attack my mind and my heart.

Can you relate?

They remind you that you’re not talented, not smart, not gifted and not going down the right path.

Maybe your voices remind that you will never be able to give up getting drunk, or sleeping around or whatever it is.

Wow, Satan is alive and well and he is good at what he does.

I find the more I step out in faith, the more the attacks come.

I find that when I’m the most tired and worn, the more the attacks come.

I find that when I dwell on the tiny minority of negative criticism, the more the attacks come.

I find that when I’m not filling my heart and my head with scripture, the more the attacks come.

I find that when I’m not spending great time with Jesus, the more the attacks come.

Not sure how you stop the negative voices, but here’s one thought…

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Fill your mind with the truth of scripture. Spend great time with Jesus. Seek God.
